This video inspires me. Every so often I watch it and it lodges in my head for days. I could almost convince myself Bobby invented Beethoven.
I also love what he does. I think that’s his wife but I’m not sure.
Of his oeuvre, most people only know Don’t Worry Be Happy which is a pity because this kind of thing is better. He says “remember this?” because it’s a James Brown song.
What does this have to do with Cardiff Arts Institute, I hear you cry? Well, I’m testing the new blogging system. Good news is, everything seems to be in order. W00t! We’d like to see this website as a kind of freerange media channel connected the venue. (And I guess this is the sort of panache and flair I hope to be channelling into our new Mucky Chops night every Sunday).
So, may the musical power of Bobby McFerrin go with you. Also, the good news is, unlike many musicians, he’s still ALIVE!

There’s nothing wrong with Don’t Worry Be Happy – it works like a charm on me at least.
Thanks for this Carl, never seen it before and I love it…
