Hello. And welcome to my first post on this pretty damn awesome new website.
As it stands, I’ve not yet seen the interior of the Cardiff Arts Institute… CAI from now on. They’ve promised me some signs that ask people to be quiet when the band are playing. I hope this happens. I do love to shush people.
Right yes, the purpose of this blog post… I have a night at CAI! I’m Jen – I work on Bethan’s BBC Introducing show, I’ll be DJing with John Rostron, the totally rad dude who puts on Swn Festival with Huw Stephens.

Here’s a poster…
The artwork is by the brilliant Kraffhics dudes.
Check out that list of bands. Thanks iTunes library. The idea behind the night is to play a mix of new/recent amazing music. We want to show you the most exciting bands that are in the UK right now and introduce you to music we hope you’ll love as much as we do. Without trying to sound too pretentious, there’ll be a fair few classics thrown in for good measure. But you know, no Beatles or the Jam or stuff like that.
Keep your eye on this site too and from time to time I’ll stick up info on bands we’ve booked or bands we’re loving playing.
Our first night is on Tuesday November 9th. Decimals will be playing. Here’s a video of them from last November when they played in my kitchen.
See you down the front. And no chatting please.
Jen x
