Sorry, sorry, sorry. I haven’t posted anything here in forever. I am a terrible promoter. And I went on holiday.
However, this Tuesday’s show is certainly worthy of breaking my silence. Trash Kit are a 3 piece from London. I saw them a few months ago after all my friends raved about this brilliant band they saw at a warehouse party that had that girl from Electrelane in them.
Trash Kit sound nothing like Electrelane, although they’re equally awesome. It’s disjointed, ramshackle, and at times tilts towards melodic chaos before the beat kicks back in and carries you off on another belt of alt pop genius.
Their debut album is out on the ever brilliant Upset The Rhythm.
Also, we’ve got Goodtime Boys in support – Alex Pennie’s new band full of other people from other Cardiff bands (I think there’s some Among Brothers in there). It’s gonna be a wild show from the get go. I’m very, very excited.
Doors are at 9pm and the show is free. Awesome.
