Polish your saddles and dig out your Sunday best. Sustrans, Milgi and Cardiff Arts Institute have joined forces to bring you this fabulous cycling event to celebrate Bike Week and life on two wheels. Fill your baskets with one of a kind vintage and handcrafted bargains at Milgi’s Northcote Lane Market.
Love Handles bike ride leaves Milgi at 6pm Join the cycle ride as we pedal in colourful convoy towards the City Centre and join the gorgeous Taff Trail taking in Bute Park, Sophia Gardens and Coopers Field* Bike Carnival at Cardiff Arts Institute Where the ride ends and the carnival begins. Park up your wheels using the free secure bike holdings and join us dancing the night away with the wonderful live music, circus performers, bike comedy and lots of happy people until midnight. Dress code? Absolutely! Vintage frocks, retro suits, swinging skirts, braces, bow ties, top hats, feather bowers. Anything goes as long as it’s colourful Bike Hire If you can’t get your hands on a bike but would like to take part in the ride, Pedal Power will be offering bike hire exclusively for the event, cost £6. This event is sponsored by Sustrans. * Optional £2 donation for people taking part in the ride, which will go to Sustrans (the UK’s leading sustainable transport charity), helping them build more cycling and walking paths across the nation and get more people out and about on their bikes and feet.
