So far our Saturdays have largely consisted of us bringing in our favourite festival bands from around the country but for the next couple of weeks we’re going to put the focus firmly on the great bands we have right here on our door step. Next week we have The New Residents, one of my long time favourite funk bands who I have seen many a time and they still never fail to get me dancing my ass off. This week however we have a new collective of funksters who we’ve had in a couple of times as a support band but thought it was time to give them a shot at the Saturday night headline slot.
The New Exhibition Of Noise are a 10 Piece ensemble comprising of a cross section of Cardiff’s music scene, collectively coming together to produce some uplifting soulful funk tracks that have something of a jazzy flavour thanks to sultry vocalist Booboo and more than a hint of Hip-hop, with The Infamous Len on decks and Skunkadelic on rhyme duty, although fresh out the box we feel these guys will be around for some time to come yet.
