So it’s time for some bhangra. We love banging dhol drumming at Ba-Ba-Boom and we’re glad to say Bristol’s RSVP do it in massive quantities. Backed with the dholak and tabla this band bring their bhangra rhythms to Cardiff Arts Institute on Saturday 13th November and they keep it dancefloor focused. Fusing classical Indian music with contemporary global rhythms and a lil of the old hip-hop and Drum ‘n’ Bass this 8 piece band run on the energy of the crowd, and we’ve got the videos below to prove it. Asian Times call them “one of the hottest bands on the Bhangra scene” and the Glastonbury festival organisers said “RSVP rocked the masses – and there were masses – to exhaustion!!”. Having shared a stage with Dhol foundation, Gurdas Maan, Lethal Bizzle, Malkit Singh, Fun-da-mental, Transglobal Underground and DCS they know what its about bringing Bhangra parties to the masses.
