Deaths, Head Hawk moths, Death Valley road blocks, Saddam Hussein, ritual murder and exorcism there’s nothing quite like True Stories Told Live. Now in its sixth month this evening of pre-industrial entertainment is going from strength to strength. In a dimly lit room in the heart of Cardiff City Centre, five people take 15 minutes each to tell a true story about themselves from memory. True life rarely conforms to narrative cliches, a fact this club proves again and again. The atmosphere upstairs at the CAI is unlike any other event as the audience hang on every unpredictable word.
Where else can you sit for 90 minutes and have five strangers tell you fascinating, hilarious and heartbreaking secrets about their lives?
