CARLOS BENGAS & THE GOODVIBES TRIBE
If ever I wanted to join a tribe, this one would be at the top of my list! Carlos Bengas is a musician and DJ who can be found at many a jam session and festival around Cardiff, collaborating with other local musicians to create and spread musical Good Vibes.
Tonight Carlos will be collaborating with Lou Noble, of Lou Noble & The Sauce, as well as a few other special guests…

CORNERS OF NOWHERE
John Lewis Price created the Corners of Nowhere to experiment with mixing live music with sampled beats and electronic elements. He used his experience as a producer of dance music and as a keyboard and saxophone player in various live bands, and collaborated with rappers, D.J.’s and guitarists to create a unique sound with an emphasis on live performance.
Alongside this, John has studied for many years at the Shivanand Ramesh Music School of Uttaranchal, India, learning the percussive instrument, tabla and the swaramandal, which is an instrument similar to the zither or autoharp. Later visits to India and study of the vocal traditions, and the pakavaj (the older “father” of tabla – more suitable for vocal accompaniment) have lead to the mixing of Hindustani classical and folk songs with the Corners Of Nowhere’s danceable, eclectic style, aswell as more traditional indian classical concerts, though always with the Corners Of Nowhere’s distinct, creative approach.
