NO SWEAT is our weekly acoustic night here at CAI, bringing you luscious sounds, good vibes and…cheap curry!
THE NEW OBJECTS (acoustic set)
The New Objects are an indie/alt. rock band from Cardiff who have recently completed a self-titled EP, working with producer Richard Jackson (Future of the Left, The Automatic, The Chapman Family). Although the band is relatively new, they have already supported the like of Delays, The Bluetones and Red Light Company, and were tipped by WalesOnline as one to watch in 2011.
Although The New Objects usually play pretty loud rock music, we here at No Sweat have a special acoustic set from the band so you can enjoy some of their more delicate, chilled-out music. Some of it is so delicate that they actually have a song called, ‘Plinky-Plonky’! If that’s not perfect for No Sweat, then I don’t know what is.

RON MIEL
Formerly known as Quintamity, Ron Miel are a 5-piece led by Ash of Cardiff wonder-band, Vito. This is their second time playing at No Sweat and this time they return with a new name and some new material. They are the essence of not sweating! Beautiful, down-tempo folk music…perfect for a Wednesday night chill.
DRAFTS (acoustic set)
Drafts are a four piece indie/pop group from South Wales. After forming in early 2010, they were quick to head into their studio to record their debut EP.
The tracks “Through The Ether” and “Valkyrie” sought praise from BBC’s Bethan Elfyn and Adam Walton, receiving airplay on both their shows respectively.
“That’s some real kinda craft, drama and melodic nous in there. I felt proper swept up I did, which happens pretty rarely, these days!” – Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales
