I love the fact that so much dance music these days is really hard to put your finger on. Even though most of the acts we have this Friday pretty much fall under the Dubstep umbrella, the variety amongst them is immense. Share your knowledge:

Little Comets have been ‘introduced’ by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, who likens them to a cheekier British version of Vampire Weekend. How have they earned this cheeky reputation? By playing guerrilla gigs at camp sites, call centres, beaches, university lecture theatres, on trams and in the bakery aisle of Newcastle’s Marks & Spencer. That’s how! [...]

YES! A most welcome return for one of our favourite artists. Rick ‘Voice Of The Seven Woods’ Tomlinson is back with a new project ‘Voice Of The Seven Thunders’. As the new moniker implies, this is a more intense, more fuzzed out and LOUDER beast altogether. When I was booking shows under the banner of ‘Forecast’ (remember that?) we had Rick come play with us 4 times and probably, out of the whole time Forecast was alive those 4 shows rate as my favourite 4 shows we did. Honestly can’t recommend enough that you come to this as his live shows are absolutely encapsulating

Our next gig is with The Duloks. They’re the funniest, hookiest, ace-est pop band that we’re glad to have as pals. And Mar promises not to get as drunk as the time I put them on in that house on Cathays Terrace.
This gig is going to be MAXIMUM FUN. You’ve been warned.
