Thu March 11, 2010 21:00 Until Fri March 12, 2010 01:00	Toddla T & Cooly G Cardiff’s Catapult Records and London’s Hyponik present an evening with two heavy weight international Djs Toddla T and Cooly G at Cardiff Arts Institute on the 11th of March. Support on the evening comes from local talent Kaptain and Chesus and Rodski, Both Djs have a huge international reputation with each having the honour of producing a classic fabric mix CD each over the years. Toddla T has worked alongside distinguished artists such as Tinchy Stryder, Roots Manuva and remixed Hot Chip. Renown for their ever excellent parties and uber cool taste in music, the "Loose Joints" crew have been running their very own Saturday Night Jams for well over 5 years now, spinning a heady mix of anything goes, having welcomed the likes of Mark E & Bill Brewster (DJ History) to partake along the way.
Sun March 21, 2010	The Songs of Nick Drake Over the past seven years or so Keith James and Rick Foot have gained substantial acclaim for bringing the fragile and beautiful music of Nick Drake into a live context, giving re-birth and a human presence to one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the last 50 years. Nick Drake (1948 - 1974) was an English singer-songwriter and musician best known for his acoustic, autumnal songs. Although he failed to find a wide audience during his lifetime, Drake's work has grown steadily in stature, and has now reached such proportions that he will always be seen as a landmark, a beauty, a thread of creativity that will forever span the rapids of modern music. This phenomenally successful show has toured worldwide. Starting with a short film about Nick Drake, James (vocal, acoustic guitar) and Foot (double bass) go on to perform the wonderful songs of Nick Drake. http://www.songsofnickdrake.com doors 7pm FREE
